Wow. I didn't know it was that long since I last did an update. I did some simple editing to some pages. hopefully update most of them when I have time. the most edited page was the My ride page.
Feb 27, 2006
Ok, so I'm sorry if I had to break my promise in updating the website, I've been so busy I didn't even have time for myself. I'll try to make up next time. Also, another reason is that the pics I uploaded are too big and I'm also waiting for a chance to take new pics after I finish the latest updates to my car. That way, the pics will be up-to-date. :) to make up for those, I did some updating with some pages and changed some of the contents.
Feb 5, 2006:
Sorry for being gone for so long. I've been too busy doing lots of stuff. I will update some stuff now to make things move around....
May 10, 2005:
Been gone for so long, we still don't have the internet connection at home so I won't be updating soon but I do have finished the P68 monoblock sub amp and it's been in the car for several weeks now without any trouble. I also upgraded the car subs to two 12's so I'm pounding hard. hope to post new pictures soon.
January 9, 2005:
New year, so we have new pictures. I hope all of you had a great holiday. I did some basic formatting, added two new pages (find them in the project pages.) one is the new page containing my latest DIY amps, the other has pics of my mic preamp/mixer. Also, I have updated the pictures in my second system page. In February, this website will be 1 year old. At the moment, I have about 9500+ page views in all so I'm hoping to get to 10k by then. :)
November 13, 2004:
Sorry, still no pics. :(. I always forget to bring the connector for the cam. BUT, to make up for it, I have two new webpages freshly uploaded. the SMPS design that I used for car preamps and car power amps, and some helps I could offer to other DIYers. the pages can be found in the sitemap for easy access.
October 23, 2004:
Sorry, no pics yet. I always forget the USB cable for the digital camera so I couldn't upload it to the computer. but, I have made another page in the projects section. It has pictures of my friend's car (and maybe my dad's, I upgraded his stereo too, once I get around uploading the other pictures first).
October 10, 2004:
Cool! the first week of classes for 2nd term, 2nd year. I have night classes! showing off the lights under the car while setting car alarms off. wahahaha. (and I have 55 nights to do it, 50 left actually. :D ) I did an update on the plans page and arranged the links in the sitemap alphabetically. sorry, no new pics yet. :( I also made a new page about upgrades to commercial amps. I only have one at the moment, expect more to come as I tinker with some old gear. I also added some car stereo equipment reviews on my brandnames page and some additional stuff in the pmpo page. when I get my hands on the digital camera, I'll put on lots of pics for you guys.
September 14, 2004:
I'm here at my friend's house. guess what, nothing new, the comp is still not working. I have finished my dual P3A car amp and have installed it in the car. it runs smoothly and gives out enough power for the front speakers. :) I've also made a small palm top amp which can drive 20W RMS into 4 ohms per channel. having a size of only 4.5" X 4.5" X 2". I hope to put up some pics soon.
August 12, 2004:
Cool. just got home after going to the shop. I got a muffler installed. and it sounds just the way I like it. the most common ones here sound like someone farting hard and their @$$ tearing apart. mine has a low boomy sound to it. and I added three pics to the ride page. the wires under the seat, and more recent pics at night.
August 8, 2004:
After getting cut off coz I exceeded my bandwidth limit, I updated all pages to use thumbnails. sure makes the page load quicker too. :) Haven't had the chance to upload the newer pics so you still have to wait.
July 31, 2004:
As promised. did some updates. lots of pics were added in several pages which includes my 1700 watt system, my ride, new mods to the 2400 and the crossover. enjoy! Finally, you guys know what I've been doing these past few months.
July 27, 2004:
OK. I know it has been a while since I typed in this page........you can't blame me. too busy. hehe. I took some newer pictures of my car and soundsystem and it has been shrinked in file size. all I need is to upload it (yeah right, when I was about to upload it, this server was down!) so expect it within a week or two depending on how busy I am. but I also can't wait to put it up. I also got some pics of my partly finished crossover (partly since I still don't have time to shop for the top and bottom covers of the case) but it is now working and I'm using it half-naked. :) I think I found the reason on why the 2400 is always blowing up. I realized that it only blows up if I plug my bass guitar and play it. and only the Intersil output devices fail, International Rectifier ones seems to be very robust. I haven't plugged my bass guitar to the amp for quite a while and it's still alive and playing. even at high volumes. I have no idea as to why it fails.
June 3, 2004:
Just
when things are going ok with the comp, it crashes. motherboard is down. and
it's in the repair shop. I hope that is a good reason to be gone. I haven't been
able to do some updates. all my files are lost. luckily, I saved some in a
CD-RW. I'm in a computer shop just to be able to do some updates.
Hope
to be back soon with some real updates.
May 6, 2004:
Ok, now that Frontpage is
working, I did some updates and some new pages. just look around in the
projectspage for it, everything is in there. Happy reading! Although I haven't
uploadedthe newer pictures from the camera (always forgetting the cable!) I have
left some notes as to which pages will have some updates as soon as I upload the
pictures.
May 3, 2004:
Ok, I haven't been doing some updates
lately but I did upload some pictures. I took some new ones of my amps, they are
a bit bigger, and a bit more detailed. I still haven't fixed the damn Frontpage!
aaarge! but I hope to create a page as soon as I get it fixed.
I now have
photos of the crossover PCB (although still bare, and the P05 PCB is incomplete)
which will be added to the crossover page and I GOT PICTURES OF MY RIDE!
including the under car lighting that I made for it, the system, subs, wiring,
but there are no pics showing while I was assembling it. (and that my friends
will have a whole page for itself.
I blew up my 2400. it was a horrible
experience, (and buying the MOSFET's were worse!) took me the whole afternoon to
replace the blown MOSFETs, check the circuitry, add another pair of output
devices per channel, and test run. AND I took pictures while it was disassembled
and also took some pics of how the additional output devices were installed.
Apr 17, 2004:
I have finished the 200 watt amp complete with a simple fan speed controller that does not seem to do anything. (but it does keep the fan running at low speeds so it is not noisy). the 800 watt amp also had its upgrades, took several pictures including my messy work area right after doing some work so things are still scattered all over the place. I have uploaded the pics and waiting for a chance to use the other comp for a new page. (also thinking about putting pictures of my car, I mean SUV with a 440 watt system. yes! it is finally installed in the car!) BTW, school starts on the 19th so I won't be online as often but I'll try to be online whenever I can.
Apr 15, 2004:
Sorry it has taken so long to do some updates. This is just to inform you guys that my computer hasn't been working well these past few weeks and I haven't installed some better software. MS Frontpage doesn't wanna load up! >:(so just sit back and visit once in a while coz I got a new camera (actually, my sister does...) and I might put in pictures of my new (partly finished) two channel 200 watt amp using two P3A's, separate bridges and caps, and one toroid installed in a thick steel chassis from a brushless motor controller found in a junk shop. And I'll be doing some changes to my 800 watt amp. I'll be replacing the four EI core transformers with a single 500VA toroid, replace the silpads with mica washers, add some fuse holders, and things like that.
